Rooms gives front desk and housekeeping a shared view of occupancy, cleanliness, and maintenance holds.
Please note:
- Check-in and check-out from Manage bookings propagate room status automatically when integration is enabled — avoid manual overrides that fight the booking timeline.
- Mark Vacant clean only after inspection; premature status changes create overbooking risk on the front desk board.
Room status board
- Open Rooms for your property or floor
- Review status tiles: vacant, occupied, dirty, clean, out of service
- Update status as guests check in/out or housekeeping completes turns
- Flag maintenance issues to block new assignments
Status changes from Manage bookings check-in/out propagate automatically when integration is enabled. Folio charges from Run the point of sale do not change room cleanliness — housekeeping still owns the status board. Properties with on-site dining should coordinate with Dining floors and tables when guests charge meals to the room folio.

Housekeeping workflows
Supervisors assign rooms to staff lists for the shift. Completing a room moves it to Vacant clean and notifies front desk that the room is sellable again.
Coordination with bookings
Never manually mark Vacant clean until inspection passes. Overbooking risk drops when front desk refreshes the board after each checkout wave and confirms Manage bookings inventory before selling the room again.
