Tokens and commissions

Overview

Tokens support loyalty, referral, or internal reward programs. Commissions calculate what salespeople earn from invoices, deals, or orders based on rules you define — often triggered when payment is recorded.

Token programs

1. Open Finance → Tokens
2. Create a program with earn and redeem rules
3. Link eligible products, customers, or campaigns
4. Publish so tokens accrue on qualifying transactions

Tokens can represent points, vouchers, or wallet balance depending on tenant configuration.

Please note:

• Token earn and redeem rules apply at checkout or invoice confirmation; stacking with inventory offers depends on workspace promotion settings.
• Commission lock days configured in Commission settings delay payroll eligibility even after payment is recorded.

Token event	Typical rule
Earn	Percentage of invoice total or fixed amount per order
Redeem	Discount on checkout or invoice line
Expire	Clear unused balance after N days
Transfer	Move balance between linked accounts (if enabled)

Commission plans

Commission plans attach to sales roles or individual users:

1. Open Finance → Commissions → Plans
2. Define basis (revenue, margin, quantity)
3. Set tiers, caps, and payout frequency
4. Map to invoice confirmation or payment received triggers — rule definitions and lock days are managed under Commission settings

Payout and disputes

Review Commission statements by period before payout. Adjustments for returns or credit notes should reverse or claw back accruals according to plan settings. Payout exports may align with payroll or flow through accounting and capital when commission expense accounts are mapped.

Configure programs with tokens and commissions permissions; sales users typically view their own statements only. Program setup is limited to roles defined in Roles, permissions, and RBAC.
