Settings → Storage reports how much file storage your workspace consumes and how usage splits across media categories. The page is read-only — it helps admins plan cleanup or request a higher limit from your subscription administrator.
Storage overview
The overview card shows:
| Metric | Source |
|---|---|
| Used | Total bytes from /api/media-files/stats |
| Limit (display) | 5 GB reference bar in the UI |
| Progress bar | Visual percent of the display limit |
Subscription max storage on your plan may differ — compare with Settings → Billing (Billing and subscription).
Usage by type
The second card lists each media category with file count and size:
| Category | Icon / label |
|---|---|
| Image | Photos and thumbnails |
| Video | Video attachments |
| Audio | Audio files |
| Document | PDFs, docs, spreadsheets |
| Other | Anything not classified above |
When no files exist yet, the page shows: No files tracked yet. Uploads will appear here.
Please note:
- The 5 GB bar is a display default in the client; your plan limit from Billing is authoritative for enforcement.
- This view does not delete files — remove attachments from their source records or ask your administrator about retention policies.

(Illustrative proportions — your workspace breakdown appears live on the Storage page.)
When to review storage
- Before large media imports (property projects, HR documents, marketing assets)
- After offboarding teams with heavy attachment use
- When Billing shows you approaching max storage
