The Settings → Modules screen is your workspace app catalog. Turn capabilities on or off, browse by category, and save the enabled list for everyone in the tenant. For a broader setup walkthrough, see Configure your workspace and the Settings overview.
Open the module catalog
- Open the Settings drawer from the sidebar rail
- Under MODULES & AI, choose Modules
- Review the counter in the header — it shows how many modules are enabled out of the total available
You need settings.view to open this page and settings.update to save changes.
Browse and filter
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search | Filter modules by name or description |
| Category pills | Narrow the list to one category (CRM, Finance, HR, and so on) |
| Featured banner | Highlights industry-recommended modules when no search or filter is active |
| Module cards | Quick install/uninstall toggle plus a detail view |
Modules are grouped into sections that match their category labels from the server. Your workspace industry (for example Real Estate) pre-selects defaults when no custom list has been saved yet.
Install, uninstall, and save
Each module card supports:
- Toggle — Install or uninstall locally; a short progress state runs before the module is marked enabled
- Open detail — Rich description, screenshots, and install controls on the module detail page
Changes are staged until you click Save Changes. Saving writes enabledModules to the tenant and refreshes navigation for all users.
Please note:
- Disabling a module hides it from navigation immediately after save — confirm no active workflows or integrations depend on it first.
- Role access still applies: align changes with Roles, permissions, and RBAC and Roles in Settings so users who need a module retain the right permissions.
- After enabling modules, set default landing pages per role under Start modules per role.
- The EDGE AI module and assistant limits are configured separately — see EDGE AI workspace settings.

Module detail view
Selecting a module opens a dedicated shell with:
- Full name, category, and marketing copy
- Rich panels loaded from
/api/tenants/modules/{id}/rich - Install or uninstall actions (same staged save flow as the grid)
Use detail view when evaluating a module before enabling it for the whole organization.
Tips
- Start with CRM and Dashboard, then add Finance or HR when teams are ready — see Configure your workspace
- Fewer enabled modules means simpler training and cleaner permission design
- After go-live, review unused modules quarterly to reduce clutter
- Invite teammates only after roles and modules are ready — see Manage members and Add users and invite teammates
When billing limits apply, compare enabled modules with your plan in Settings → Billing (Billing and subscription).
